St. James Missionary Baptist Church is a diverse congregation that is inclusive to all ages.  We understand visiting a church for the first time can or may cause some anxiety before you decide to attend.  Here at St. James, we want to do our best to take away any concerns you may have before you even attend.

Choose A Service:

  • Traditional Service @ 8:00 AM – Sunday in the Sanctuary

  • Contemporary Service @ 11:00 AM- Sunday in the Sanctuary

  • Sunday School @ 9:30 for all age groups- Classrooms

Come & Join Us…..

Once you’ve selected which service to attend, come on over!  The attire is casual for both services.  People wear what is comfortable to them.  Some will have dress attire, or ties, and some will have casual business attire or jeans.  For directions, please click HERE.  People usually arrive ten minutes ahead of the Worship Service in order to park, drop off kids at Children’s Church or the nursery, grab a bulletin, and find a seat before the service begins.

The Service…..

Once inside the sanctuary, please find a seat wherever you will be comfortable and enjoy the service.  Do expect some friendly people to stop by to say “good morning” or “good afternoon” and welcome you to our service.  Our ushers will provide you a guest card to complete if you so desire.  Inspired preaching will take place to move and encourage you as you draw closer to God.

Communion (Lord’s Supper)

Communion (Lord’s Supper) is served after the sermon on the first Sunday of every month.  Pastor needs to elaborate here if he wants this to be a separate item.

Children…..

During our 11:00 service, Children’s Church is provided for Preschool to 6th grade, and the nursery is available for infants to age 2.  We ask that you walk your younger children to Children’s Church and/or nursery to be signed in and out.  We encourage you to introduce yourself to the teacher, and ask any questions you may have about our Children’s Program.  For a more detailed description of the Children’s Church Ministry, click here.  All other youth attend regular service.

After the Service….

We hope you enjoyed the service and want to attend again. Please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail; or just stop by the Church Office to ask any other questions you may have about us.

We pray you decide to visit us again soon!
