St. James’ Youth Mission Statement:

Empowering and equipping youth with the Word of God today, in order to build, grow, develop, and produce Spiritual Leaders for Tomorrow.

Youth Development:

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our youth in an environment that provides development through a spirit led and comprehensive ministry of the Word of God, while involving them in Christian recreational activities.

Activities:

Children’s Church: A weekly program that educates children about the Word of God and how it can be used to assist them in their daily lives. It meets every 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sunday for children age 3 to the 6th grade.

Wednesday Night Bible study: A weekly study that provides spiritual development by using the Word of God to address current issues facing contemporary youths. This ministry meets every Wednesday evening for children age 3 to 12th grade.

Nursery: A service provided for children 3 months to 2 years old during the 11 o’clock service. Children are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment that exposes them to bible stories, music, and age-appropriate activities.

Yoke Breaking: A quarterly series that applies biblical principles to current topics. This program is for Jr. and Sr. High students (Youths in the 6th -12th grades).

Youth Retreat: An action-packed weekend away from home for youth in the 6th– 12th grades to fellowship, and engage in activities that promote personal and spiritual development.

Youth Prayer and Anointing Service: A Spirit-filled service designed to encourage and inspire young people and their families at the beginning of the school year. Participants receive an inspirational message and heartfelt prayers and blessings in preparation for the school year.

Fall Festival: A fun family night designed to entertain and foster Christian fellowship.

And lots, lots, more… Join us for other activities like the Old-School vs. New School Basketball game, trips to plays and shows, and other programs that promote Christian education and wholesome recreation.
